The name Kenton’s Lesson Studio is a polished way of saying private lessons with me, Kenton (aka Kenni), in a dedicated space for practicing, learning, and creating music. I’m here to help you discover your voice, build confidence, and make music an even more meaningful part of your life.

At Kenton’s Lesson Studio, every student’s musical journey is unique. Lessons are thoughtfully tailored to each individual’s goals, interests, and learning style. KLS welcomes students of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities. I am committed to creating an inclusive, respectful space where everyone feels supported. Whether you want to strengthen your chord voicings, prepare for university auditions, explore improvisation, write original music or arrangements, or you are a complete beginner, I will meet you where you are and help you grow from there.

I hold a Bachelor of Music in Performance and Jazz Composition (dual degree) from Berklee College of Music, with a minor in Conducting. I teach piano, saxophone, flute, and voice, as well as conducting, arranging, and composition—these are my core areas of interest and expertise. I bring all of my experience as a performer, composer, and educator into each lesson, offering guidance not only in learning and performing music, but also in navigating a busy life while making space for music practice as a kind of ritual.

I embrace modern tools to make learning as accessible and effective as possible. Students are welcome to share recordings or ask questions via email or WhatsApp between lessons, and for piano students, I may record short videos during lessons so they can easily reference the keyboard while practicing at home. Future professionals, hobbyists, explorers, and anyone seeking a creative and rewarding outlet are welcome here. Practicing music should feel both challenging and enjoyable at any stage.
